Power Supply Repairs

IER engineers repair the majority of single phase & three phase Power Supplies. These include Linear, Switchmode & Uninterruptible (UPS) Power Supplies. Following the Power Supply repair, a fully functional load test is carried out.

Components that are both Surface Mount (SMD) & Through Hole are tested by IER engineers in-circuit where capable & out-of-circuit where not. These tests are carried out utilising specialist, state-of-the-art component testing equipment.

This testing equipment has recently been updated with IER investing over £10,000 in their ‘in-circuit’ testers. Our power supply testing equipment include;

Specialist Power Supplies Repair

With the reparation of individualistic transformers, IER engineers can either source a new component or expertly repair the pre-existing unit, using their international framework of sources.

IER’s engineers don’t simply carry out fault finding practises but preventative maintenance practises also. Fans, bearings & deteriorating electrolytic capacitors are typically replaced, 85°C units upgraded with 105°C ones.

It is for these involved repairing measures that IER’s services are generally considered to possess more longevity than the purchasing of a new unit.

A dynamic & static solid state load full ‘soak’ test is carried out where able by IER’s Power Supply Repairers. This allows for the PSU output to be monitored, ensuring that it works in a variety of parameters.
