Although the government is actively encouraging people to take on apprenticeships perhaps they are not considering that in this current financial climate the wage of a training apprentice is not very high. Less young people are prepared to do the graft involved in return for a relatively low salary and instead are turning to ‘comfortable’ office jobs in which they can do as little as possible for a relatively high wage.

Initially learning a new skill may seem daunting but the nature of the course means that you are able to work at your own speed and if there is a section that you are not entirely confident on, you are able to keep returning to it until you feel ready to progress.
